I could never pick a last meal either - I have way too many favorites. Great idea to make them in the muffin tins. My cookie dough sank into my brownie batter and made a mess but the end result was still tasty.

Oh, now you have me pondering what I would choose for my last meal. I have wondered when they will start selling pre-packaged rounds of parchment paper, as I also find it very tedious to cut it (even for just a two-layer cake).

I love the brownies in muffin form; definitely a great way to celebrate the end of the semester!

Your muffins look terrific! I'm with you on chocolate chip cookies not being safe in my presence! If I bake these again, I'm going to make muffins - it avoids the cookie crumbling when you have to cut them into pieces! Really nice!

I love the look of the cookie ontop of the brownie. I thought the topping was more like a hard crusted brownie instead of a wonderful warm chocolate chip cookie.
To answer your question about the running...yes a track does make it easier to run the speed work. I HATE running on tracks too. I figure if it's only for one of the workouts I can do it. The other days you can run outside on your normal routes. You still need to keep track of your mileage. I hope you will pick up running again! I think you should train for the up coming race you mentioned!!
