I love that you made this one "straight up" - even if it's not your very favorite, at least you produced a tasty one in your own kitchen. And I'll be very interested to see your future pee-can or puh-cahn experiments!

My favorite one has maple syrup, but I don't mind trying different recipes to see if there's a better one. Our local pecan harvest was pitiful this year so I will have to choose my pecan-based recipes pretty carefully.

I don't think the baking time was your fault - I think everyone had the jiggles! Your pie is just beautiful.

I used to love the huge bags of pee-cans my Texan great-aunt would bring when she visited. The grocery store kind just don't measure up!

Hi Jessica, I'm a "puh-cahn" girl too and I really like the Karo recipe for pecan pie as well. I did kinda like the coffee flavor in Dories recipe but couldn't bring myself to add the cinnamon.
