Martha haters close this blog post right now: I love Martha Stewart. I think she's fabulous, although she seems a little uptight sometimes. I wonder how she'd feel about my kitchen dance parties? Though, for all of Martha Stewart's prim and proper recipes, sometimes she shocks me with recipes like these
Rocky Ledge Bars. There is absolutely nothing restrained about these amped-up blondies. They have marshmallows, caramel, chocolate, white, and butterscotch chips. I even started to get a little bit nervous while I was making these. Maybe it was too much of a good thing?
But, actually, these ended up being a big hit around here. When Dudley and I first started dating, I asked him what his favorite kind of cookies were. His answer: I like cookies with a lot of "stuff" in them. I guess you could say that Dudley is
not a purist. He loved these bars, and I packaged up a bunch of them for friends who liked them as well. My parents were also in town to sample these goodies, and by the next morning they were all gone! Yup, the Rocky Ledge Bars are what you might call a crowd pleaser, and I think that they would be great for many different occasions. Oh, and there are no nuts in these bars -- perfect for people with allergies. Do head over to Martha's website for the

holy crap those sound good. i like MS too. could i live with her every day? probably not. she's pretty neat and clean and i'm, well, not. but you've gotta give her props. she created an empire out of nothing, she's uber talented, and she makes beautiful crafts and tasty food.
Bar cookies loaded up with "stuff" do make a huge hit with the crowds! These look delicious. Props to you for baking them and to Martha for, well, being her fabulous self! There are plenty of prominent personalities that annoy me, but Martha really doesn't.
Those look amazingly good. I like cookies with lots of stuff too.
I like MS - she's got some great ideas, and all of her recipes turn out great. I've never tried those bars with since they don't have nuts, I'm going to give them a try!
I have a recipe for some cookies Dudley would love, if he likes a lot of stuff in them.=) These bars look really good and Im sure they tasted wonderful!

I love Martha too! I envy her empire big time. As luck would have it I just borrowed her Cookies book from the library and I'm going to make these before it's due back. They look awesome!!

I knew there was a reason I should have bought caramels when I saw them on sale the other day! My boyfriend likes his desserts loaded with "stuff" too (sometimes too much for my taste), I'm sure these would be a huge hit.

I made these this weekend and thought they were great. I did not have caramel so I substituted some peanut butter chips. I feel this is the perfect recipes for cleaning out all the half-empty bags of chips in my pantry :)
